Marble polishing is important, mainly due to how porous marble is, but we also recommend you take it a step further and seal your marble. If you do, make sure that you use a penetrating marble sealer. Topical sealers are more affordable and simpler, but they just sit on the top of the marble and can turn dull or hazy quickly.
On the other hand, an oil-based or water-based penetrating sealer offers superior protection while still letting the stone breath.
